“To: New Creation MinistriesWhen I was a teenager I was a football star in Detroit. That lead me to College. I was popular with a wild sense of humor filled with foul mouth jokes and often was the life of the party. I kept a bright smile like I was on top of the world, yet underneath it all I was a boy soaked with insecurity and low self esteem.
I thought I was ugly because of the wide gap in my teeth and a spread of freckles on my face. As I grew up I became a passive people pleaser and despite how highly people spoke of me I felt lonely and worthless never thinking that I was enough. Through a few overwhelming spiritual experiences I excepted Christ into my heart but I didn’t seek who he was even as I casually went to church which left a hole big enough for Satan to slip in and lure me to a path of sin through prodigal living.
So I mentioned this mini summary of my past to hope you really understand how greatful I am for this ministry and for what it’s been for my growth in Christ because Satan thought he had me, But God…
Some of the most important things I have learned from this ministry is, Who I am in Christ and how important it is to have a intimate relationship with God. And what follows is wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Learning about faith, patience, love, kindness, long suffering, and purpose.
Therefore, I came to know that I am the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. I am an overcomer. I am more than a conqueror. I am not ugly, I am feafully and wonderfully made in the image of my father Abba which through His true beauty that’s in me I become His reflection of Agape love. I am a new creature that’s eternal through the blood of Jesus Christ which makes me timeless. So now I sing in the storm and prepare to walk on water claiming the impossible.
Lastly, through this ministry and the Holy Spirit God transforms me from just another man in prison to a missionary inside a prison. I found my true Identity In Christ and that’s to shine. Thank you Tom and all those at New Creations for I am a New Creation.
Grace Peace and Love
Sincerely, Rush
