New Creations Prison Ministries was founded in 1995 by retired Grand Rapids businessman, Gene Goulooze, who was led to a prison ministry. It has grown from a one-on-one evangelism program established in an Ionia prison to a multifaceted ministry that serves all of the prisons in Michigan and Tennessee, and involves many volunteers.
When the orientation and processing center in Ionia was moved to a Jackson prison in 2002, NCPM volunteers continued the ministry by traveling there. We currently have over 20 volunteers who go into the prisons for One-On-One and Bridge Builders Ministries.
NCPM has 103 volunteers who are “Bible Study Partners” with over 2500 inmates who are actively involved in ongoing Bible Correspondence courses.
