At New Creations we engage volunteers as much as possible. This keeps costs down and helps our donation dollars to go further allowing us to reach more inmates with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- One-on-One volunteers go into the prisons sharing the Gospel and praying with inmates, handing out Bibles and other materials, and enrolling inmates in our correspondence courses.
- Bridge Builders volunteers lead the 26-week “The Way Home” 12-Step classes at Ionia, Bellamy Creek, Carson City and Women’s Huron Valley correctional facilities.
- Bible Study Partners grade lessons, write encouraging notes, and pray for inmates.
There are several other opportunities for volunteers including:
- Entering student information into the computer
- Delivering inmates lessons to local churches for BSP’s to pick up and grade
- Putting lessons together
- Processing incoming and outgoing lessons
- Filling inmates’ lesson packets
- Preparing weekly mailings
- Sending reminder letters
- Helping with fundraisers
- Filing materials
- Unpacking shipments
- Sending out newsletters
We ask you to prayerfully consider if God is calling you to make a difference. "Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.'" Matthew 9:37-38
